My husband and I have loved the custom car and bike scene for as long as I can remember - Dan was given an ol chevy pick up from his great-grandpa in his early teens then he purchased a '63 Nova at 15 and it progressed from then to '56 sportster, '60 pan/shovel and '55 chevy pickup. As for me, my dad and brothers were always working on something and I grew up looking at pictures of my dad in '62 Nova and listening to stories about their late night drives to Reno to cruise the strip.
So needless to say, we both have an appreciation for not only the look of an ol car, truck and bike but the workmanship and commeradory that goes along with the culture.
With this, we wanted our kids to grow up knowing, appreciating and living this culture. We travel to car shows with our kids, hang out with Dad when he works on his rides, and teach them what results from a little hard work.
